Haven’t played with this exactly, but there are a number of open source programs (NVU being one) that are now making versions that are able to be used on a flash drive… it looks like this requires some sort of special type of software? Or maybe it’s being billed that way because this company wants to sell their product? Kind of like apple’s AV cable for the video ipod where they switched the yellow and red plugs on a normal AV cable in order to make people think they need to use Apple’s plug with the video ipod…
